Willie Nelson: True Outlaw Stories: On the Road with Willie Nelson - One-Hour Radio Special

I said "-ish", didn't I? :^) Thanks to those who've commented. I hope you enjoy part 2! Link in comments. And look into Willie's newest album, simply titled Country Music.

UPDATE: New Mediafire link in comments, for those who had trouble.

  1. I was just getting ready to ask if it was tomorrowish yet. I guess this leaves me no choice but to go back and check out the Brian Wilson radio offering. These are all very cool artifacts that, so far, have redeemed themselves in terms of entertainment value. The Willie Part One show was no exception. I never knew that Willie wrote Crazy (Patsy Kline's biggie). Then, naturally, there is the singer's voice which is recognised the world over. And, finally, I would say that I was most taken by Willie's speaking voice. It has got to be the most gentle voice ever. It is like the shine on the chrome...the kindness heard in his gentle voice. Thank you. There really isn't any harm in eating your peas and carrots. Go Willie.

  2. Jim Henson said he modeled Kermit the Frog's singing voice after Willie's.

And Anon, not really a big Lambchop fan here, so you might wanna try another blog. That said, I think I do have some rare live thingy from them buried in my CD collection, so I'll look...

  6. Just finished listening to Disc 1, great.
Silly question perhaps, but where do you get/find albums like these??

  7. Well, I work for a non-commercial radio station -- KBOO Community Radio in Portland, OR! www.kboo.fm -- and got a few that way, but then I got the bug and have found several on eBay. Glad you are enjoying 'em!

  8. Aha, that explains a lot! Thanks.
I usually browse once a month some of Bangkok's flea markets, but chances of finding any curios are pretty slim unfortunately.

  9. Thanks. This drives home that Willie is, above all else, a storyteller.

  16. Hi Pop. I worked for several years at Music Millennium before retirement. I appreciate your blog - as well as your KBOO efforts. The Willie bios are wonderful, and the Mediafire link worked perfectly. Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity. All the best,

    Iggymo
